Miele G 5740 SCU SL Silber

I have only had this product for a few weeks, but am very impressed so far. Firstly the slim size makes it look very cute and dinky in the kitchen. It has a screen so you can easily see what programs, times left, adjust settings. It also has a cutlery drawer which is amazing and means that you have more space on the lower drawer. It is very quiet. We don’t find that we are missing much in terms of space despite its slim size. I think only would not be suitable for a large family, but fits nicely into a normal kitchen, and is helpful if you don’t have the unit “space” to fit it in, like you would with your other appliances. I choose this despite the price as I want something that is going to last. I am hoping it’s worth it! But overall love the quality and compact but spacious design.

This is replacing another Miele dishwasher which was 23 years old; if this lasts even half that long I’ll be happy. Whisper quiet, build quality seems good, and after a week of use so far no complaints about wash quality. I’ve been a loyal Miele customer for a long time - I really wouldn’t entertain anything else.

This dishwasher is expensive but it delivers on what it says in the add. The rack system is the key to its success - it is so well thought out for a slimline dishwasher. It makes loading it nearly a pleasure! The quick power wash only takes 48 minutes and it does a really good job - for the more intensive zone quick wash it adds another 12 minutes to the cycle. I had another slimline dishwasher before this one and it did not clean or dry and I sent it back after a week. The extra I paid for this and how it performs is well worth it and being Miele, it will probably last me 20 years.
