Asus ROG Strix Go BT, Gaming-Headset

The boom mike completely fell apart after 6 months. The plastic casing on the headphones are almost cracked so that the item is nearly unusable. For the last 6 months this headset was amazing. I have been carefully folding it and trying to treat it with extreme care. always in the case it came with. This is just disappointing that its already breaking apart. I paid 160$ for this. I have had cheaper headphones that have lasted far longer. Word of caution, they break,

Cancels out most background noise, especially machines and music, dogs etc. But it doesn't really handle a crying baby. Your best bet if you need extreme wireless noise cancellation is the Poly Voyager 2, but if you just need decent headset and to tone down roommates, HVAC noise, blenders, vacuums, dogs etc occasionally then this is perfect. Biggest complaint was the mute button interprets sound to tell you it's muted. Huge issue on phones or games because if you mute while somebody it talking you miss what they say and need to unmute to ask them which defeats the purpose.

Initially, I really liked them. They’re light, comfortable and the sound is pretty good. The boom mic is fine but I found the microphone in the earcup to do a better job with my voice. I charged them all the way and excitedly started using them. That’s when the beeps started. I upgraded the firmware. I used their software. I used a Mac, a PC, I played media, left nothing playing, did work video calls and the beeping would not stop. I let them die and tried again. Same thing. The random beeping while sitting not moving around made me crazy. It’s for that reason I’m sending them back. What a disappointment. Don’t waste your time on these.

Sounds really good and is comfortable and the battery definitely lasts a long time, easily 24hrs or continual use. However I have two big problems. Constantly getting crackles and pops, and audio will cut out and have to 'reset'. Sometimes as much as 3 or 4 times an hour. I live in an apartment complex so I don't know if its interference (microwaves maybe?). The other is the microphone. The plug in boom in kind of awkward, doesn't stay in place very well but that doesn't even matter because I can never get the darn thing to work anyways. Ya, no mic..awesome.
