Nikon HB-53 Gegenlichtblende für das AF-S 24-120 mm ƒ/4,0

This was bought as a replacement for the same lens hood. The first one became worn and loose. Cleaned the connection on the camera and the new one works fine. If you are careful and keep the connection points clean, the hoods work.

Nikon petal shade. Fits securely on my AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm 1:4 G ED lens for shooting and reversed for storage on lens. Nothing elaborate. Just does its job well.

I purchased this as replacement from the original that came with the lens. I have to say I am disappointed with the quality as it is made with all plastic. The issue is with the tabs that attaches onto the lens and they break off. Without the tabs, it is difficult to put on and take off of the lens. The tabs on the original and my now replacement lens hood broke off so it is now an expensive replacement. For what Nikon charge for this lens hood, it should be made of aluminum and not plastic. I will give the Vello brand a try as it about half the cost. With plastic lens hood, you have to be careful while it is attached and take it off immediately when you are done.

Bought this to replace the original. One of the little locking tabs broke off and it rattled. So I replaced it with this.

the material of this Bayonet its cheaper ( not the same quality) then the original that comes with the lens.
