Zeiss Fernglas 10x30 SFL

Das Fernglas ist sehr leicht und handlich. Die Optische Qualität halte ich für sehr gut. Das Sehfeld ist mit 120m (auf 1.000m) vergleichsweise groß. So lässt sich auch ein bewegtes Objekt sicher „einfangen“. Die mitgelieferte Tasche ist, wenn sich der Gurt am Fernglas befindet und mit verstaut werden soll, etwas klein.

Having had two pairs of 8 x 42 Swarovski binos for some years, they were quite heavy and therefore often got left at home. My wife and I went on an excellent Birding Walk in the Forest of Dean with Clifton Cameras and they had various binos available to test. We tried the Zeiss SFL 10 x 30 and found them a revelation - the extra magnification is welcome and as we use them in bright conditions the loss of light gathering (moving from 42 to 30) is not relevant. But the huge advantage for us is the light weight. Manufactured in Japan they ooze quality and they will surely last us for many years. So we can thoroughly recommend these Zeiss SFL 10 x 30 binoculars.

Extremely sharp with great smooth snap focussing. Excellent eyebox. No blackouts or shadows. Very light for summer, grams. In my opinion better than the x , especially the eyecups for which I found the viewing uncomfortable - shadows if turned down a notch, and fully extended narrowing the field of view.

Good Points: Lightweight Small to carry Sharp vision Close focus Improvement Points: Quality of binoculars and accessories didn't particlarly impress, but were OK - althought the packaging did! Zeiss customer service (used with Zeiss cash-back issues) were terrible.
