These binoculars work well with my glasses. I've had them about three weeks. Fit and finish are good. So far the 8 magnification has been a good choice for watching birds in a suburban neighborhood. I would recommend these to a friend.

My husband has been using these Vanguard Endeavour 8x42 ed binoculars for over a week now and he is so happy with my purchase for him. They are well packaged and the supplied case seems to be of good quality and fit for purpose. The binoculars themselves are of excellent quality and build with the right degree of movement in the mechanism.. The focus is fast which he likes. He initially thought they were a little heavy compared to his 20 year old pair of bins but now loves the weight and balance of the Vanguard pair. The image quality is superb with bright, crisp display and good field of view. This product is everything it says on the box and more and could not be happier. value for money is outstanding and these far outperform more expensive models.

Please note that I am no binocular connoisseur. My intended use is on my boat, coastal cruising, to look for markers and observe wildlife. I compared these with the Nikon Monarch 5. I found these and the Nikons virtually indistinguishable in practical use. Both feel about the same weight in the hand. Both have attached covers on the distal glass and poorly fitting covers on the proximal end (the Nikon covers were nearly useless). The optics seemed comparable. So I bought the Endeavor, because applying the $100 rebate brought the price to well below half that of the Nikons. I like the Endeavor so much I bought a second pair (10x42) so I can keep the original pair on the boat full-time.
