Pentax Jupiter 8x40

Amazing quality of image for the price. It almost equals the pre-war II uncoated Zeiss Delactem 8x40 in field of view (8.2 as against 8.6 degrees) yet it is multi-coated & rubber-coated (more pleasant to hold in the hands in cold weather) & far lighter than the Delactem (770g as against the Delactem's 1200g). I know which one I would rather carry round all day.

Fantastic value for money. Got it as a gift for my wife. She's very happy with it. It's a classic Pentax quality, good optics, great handling. Would be nice if the protection caps stayed somehow connected to the binoculars when removed so you don't lose them.
