Required for searching for that needle in a hay...

6x30 is a military binoculars chosen because it has a very wide field of view 8 degrees. This is what your tank commander carried. These binoculars besides having a wide field of view also has very good close focusing ability. You know that shelf 10 feet high and you are looking for a book but have no ladder - this is what you want to read the spine. It comes with a very good strap in neoprene so you do not have to buy an after market one and a rain cover for the eyepieces. The focusing wheel is very light. You can fit filters if you can find any small enough. The pupil, diameter is 5mm - very adequate for old eyes. Surprising for a Porto prism binocular these are waterproof. Size wise they are no smaller than a 8x30 and they are covered in a very good rubber armour, the supplier I chose was Japanese and you are asked to take responsibility for paying the duty but once you accept that responsibility it seems that Amazon bill you rather than having to sort an online payment.

it is more like mid-size. Yesterday I went...

I own several optical devices, 7x50 binocular, and two spotting scopes (compact and full size) and I wanted to have something compact that can be slipped into pocket. First of all, this is not pocket binocular, it is more like mid-size. Yesterday I went outside to test this device against full size 7x50 binocular, in dusk/dawn and dim conditions. To my surprise, this is as good as my 7x50. I think it is mainly because the 7x50 is somewhat lower quality and costs exactly the same as this binocular. How is it possible that 6x30 and 7x50 cost the same? Well, after testing it on clear sky, I could see Andromeda galaxy and stunning Milky way views with this 6x30. Optical quality is awesome, nice round and clear exit pupil, good magnification and eye relief which allows me to use it with glasses. This will be my main binocular from now on. Whoever is considering buying an expensive 2000eur binocular, I suggest, buy this Kowa 6x30 and with spare money you can get thermal camera.

Vergleich: Nikon Aculon A30 8X25 - Kowa YF 6X30 Schärfe: gut - sehr gut Kontrast: unbefriedigend - gut Blickwinkel: unbefriedigend - gut CA: befriedigend - gut Helligkeit: befriedigend - sehr gut Naheinstellung: ?
