Hawke Fernglas Endurance ED 12x50 Black

I had a roughly £100 pair or binos but have got so into birdwatching and other wildlife that I wanted something brighter and clearer. I tested many and settled on these and am so glad I did. I looked through two pairs that were £1000+ and they were no better than these at a bit over £300. Frankly I don't know what would make these better as they are well-made and the optics are truly excellent with no noticeable chromatic aberration at all. They focus beautifully and smoothly and are lighter than most at this size (12x50). Yes, they're 800gm but the comfortable neck strap works beautifully to make them comfy all day long. I can't fault them and won't ever be buying a different make again. No need to anyway as these are built so well they'll almost certainly live on longer than I will! :)
