Carson HU-401 Adventure Pack

I am blessed with an extremely intelligent and beautiful granddaughter and am always on the look out for interesting gifts for her. I grabbed this assuming that it was a high quality item. Prior to mailing it, I reviewed the items and found each one in this kit to be poorly made, flimsy, and not made to last. I was very disappointed. I returned the item the next day and bought her “adult” well made replicas. Children deserve well made “toys.” I just assumed REI understood this.

The binoculars were actually pretty good. The compass doesn't work. But they were for my 4 and 2 year old nieces and they loved it.

There are a lot of neat items in this set, however they are not necessarily well made. The binoculars had a broken lens by days end.

This is a good selection of hiking gear for kids but the binoculars are blurry.

Rubbish- cheaply made and binoculars broke straight away.
