NOT A SSD. Despite all the "answers" up there do not be fooled this is definitely a HDD! They do a great job of making it seem like it's a SSD in the ad copy just short of actually saying it. It's a decent drive, and is relatively quick and quiet, but I bought this thinking it was too good to be true and it was! This is not a name brand it should not be priced like one. It is a good product but I was fooled. I hope amazon takes those answers down.

I like this HD but it was not obvious the tthis was for PC only. I had to reformat the hard drive to get it to work on my Mac. And then I miss out on all the added software and backup capabilities or features it offers. Bummer. Once formatted it works great, but not what I thought I was getting.
