Dymo Labelwriter 550 Etikettendrucker

Being a daily user of the DYMO 450 "I use 4 machines for my business" I bought the 550 model with my eyes closed. My biggest mistake, ARNAQUE impossible to use my rolls of label that I have. I inquired on Internet and I will take their advice it leaves immediately to the dustbin. I've been using LDLC for some time now and I'm really pleased with the service. For LDLC the delivery went very well but you should advise buyers to take the Brother QL-800 because it costs the same to buy and the labels are much cheaper than the old DYMO 450 and I haven't mentioned the new software.... The opinion is not LDLC which is a very good site.

Good label printer but a pain to set up. Also only allows Dymo labels to be used not generic so adds to the replacement cost.

Yes, companies are putting DRM on their paper now. This device will not work with what it considers "non-genuine" Dymo labels, and it checks this via an RFID chip embedded in the spool. This means none of my old, genuine, Dymo label paper works--no, they want me to throw all that in the trash and buy new paper. This also means they can charge ridiculous prices for paper, and when they discontinue that paper spool in a few years this will end up in a landfill. I like owning my electronics longer than a few years, and if I knew any of this ahead of time I would not have wasted my money on this thing.
