Yamaha R-N800A AV-Receiver 200 W Stereo Schwarz, Silber

I bought this amplifier after much consideration and am not disappointed.Although I tend to play CD and vinyl, using it to stream odd albums has been easy to set up and use and the ability to play radio through the unit has proved to be easy and clear. The sound quality is great and the build excellent. Very pleased with my purchase

I upgraded to this amp from a Yamaha R-N803D and I didn't expect much difference (I want Airplay 2) but the sound quality has blown me away. The only downsides have been 1) The display, although much clearer, is much smaller and I can't read it from my listening position, and 2) You need special instructions from Yamaha to be able to get BBC DAB stations found if you have 100s of stations near you.

Yamaha R-N800A is the best amplifier I have ever owned. The only downside is the lack of a built-in HDMI input, but apart from that, everything works perfectly. The sound quality is excellent, the performance is outstanding, and I would highly recommend this amplifier to anyone considering a high-quality hi-fi system.

It works, which is not bad, but it's accompanied by a very unpleasant crackling noise. Everything I tried to do about it was in vain. Finally, it works, but not as well as the old Kenwood it was supposed to replace. A disappointment. Philippe

Great amp especially when paired with good speakers. Loving the in built streamer and high quality DAC. All in all, a very versatile and future proof piece of equipment.
