Love the product, easy to use but I find the pictures on the cup and in the manual hard to work out to get anything other than hard boiled eggs. I don't know how much water to add to get poached or soft boiled. The item itself is small and compact and very easy to clean. I bough an egg opener, but had to use YouTube to find out how to work it - however, that said it's a great addition to my egg cooker.

Irrespective of the low rating reviews here I had faith in purchasing this solely because it’s a Phillips, they area world leader and innovator and do build quality appliances, you just got to learn your appliance. My main reason to buy this was to poach eggs, I’m really terrible at cooking them the traditional way. My first attempt was with a full tray of 3 eggs and by the measuring cup used the minimal amount of water recommended for a runny yoke as noted in the instructions and measuring cup. They were overcooked giving a solid yoke. So next time I decreased the water level on the measuring cup by about 5mm below the recommended line on the measuring cup, the result was a near perfect poached egg, yoke was runny to perfection. This cooks poached eggs so so quick.Only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is why design this poacher to do 3 eggs? 4 is way more practical, if your cooking for yourself and partner wouldn’t the option of two eggs each be a practical starting point?
