I'm very happy with the 4K picture on my new Nexigo projector. The pair works great going thru my Marantz AV7705 using 8K HDMI cables. I was a bit disappointed that accessing the discs is no faster than my old LG blu-ray player. I'm very disappointed with the remote that comes with this. The buttons are not intuitive enough to operate in the dark with NO BACKLIGHT. The Netflix button is positioned so that you hit it frequently when trying to pause the movie, then you're stuck spending minutes recovering after turning on the lights to find the correct buttons to push. It's so bad that I ordered a clone of the back-lit 9000 remote control. This is a frequent complaint on AV forums.

It has the look and feel of a fifty dollar player.The remote is cheap and does not lite up.You need to spend a thousand dollars to not even get the build quality and features of an oppo player.This is why it got 3 stars.Do not expect it to last long.If the build quality was as good as the picture I would have given it 5 stars.

The Panasonic DP UB820 is an outstanding 4K Blu-ray player, with excellent reviews. Setup was easy & intuitive. The player has excellent sound & picture quality & many basic & advanced features. I do have two minor issues. First, the player automatically shuts off after 20 minutes of inactivity, a “feature” that some may like and others not, but it cannot be deactivated. Even the more expensive unit (which is over twice the price) behaves this way. Secondly, One of the advantages of this player over the competition is that it has a lighted display, which also has adjustable brightness. However, the display information is so small that it is virtually unreadable unless you are very close to the unit, which really defeats the purpose of having it. All in all, a highly recommended unit.
