The colors are like we all saw on VHS in fact the whole transfer looks VHS except VHS sounded better. Extras are very good. Wait for 4k !!

A true blast from the past if you are Generation X like me!! All the way from 1984, this film captures Prince at his peak with his band “The Revolution” performing his tracks over a drama-tised version of his own auto-biography showing the personal dramas he faced as well as falling in love with another beautiful woman…masterpiece!!

Purple Rain captured a pop prodigy in all his youthful exuberance at a peak career moment. As a devoted Prince fan, even before Purple Rain , I cannot help but hold a deep affection for the film, which retains a peculiar power despite obvious flaws. Warner's initial Blu-ray wasn't bad, but the new version is a more vivid and faithful experience and highly recommended.
