Before the Devil Knows You're Dead features a solid cast with Philip Seymore Hoffman, Ethan Hawke, Marisa Tomei and Albert Finney. The films plot revolves around two brothers who decide to knock off their parents jewelry store but the event doesn't go as easy as it was predicted only the set of a chain of events that has deadly repercussions. The movie is a bit of a slow burn with some crazy situations to keep things interesting. Shout Select's BD features an average 1080p presentation and low key 5.1 DTS audio track. A few extra's rounds out this early 2000's venture.....

Films like Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead aren’t made much anymore. And that’s too bad. This one is a gem. Two of the key components in the film no longer with us (Lumet, Hoffman). Shout’s new disc adds a new transfer and some new features and for fans of the movie, this one is a no-brainer.
