If you don't want to spend much but still want to smell masculine, authoritative, elegant, and fresh, then this is the right choice for you. I received it as a gift and I like the scent. The opening is a bit sharp, but the drydown is quite pleasant. Definitely recommended! You can easily test it in almost any drugstore and buy it right away.

I deleted my old review of Tabac Original After Shave Lotion because I had to repurchase it. It just smells really good to me, and the longevity is quite impressive for an after shave at around 5-6 hours, even though the sillage doesn't quite keep up. The top note has a creamy, green, and citrusy scent of Petitgrain. You can also detect pepper, neroli, and lavender. The heart note remains floral with hints of geranium, violet, garden carnation, and jasmine blossoms, but it also has a balsamic scent of sandalwood. The base offers an animalic-sweet-bitter musk fragrance. Additionally, there are woody, balsamic, rooty, and earthy aromas of vetiver, oak moss, and a bit of tobacco. In the background, you can also recognize tonka beans and creamy bourbon vanilla.

Bought as a present for Pops, it is a classic old school scent. It has a classy refined masculine woody soapy scent and can be splashed on after shaving to good effect. Pops was happy.
