Brother OT1001C, Einschub, Schwarz

I may reconsider my rating after I’m actually able to use this product. It arrived without a power cord. While I understand it’s supposed to work via the USB port, it’s not functioning for me. The idea that I might need to purchase an entirely new computer just to use a scanner is absolutely ridiculous. To make matters worse, now it seems I’ll need to spend even more money just to get this scanner operational, which is incredibly frustrating. I’ve always trusted Brother products in the past and have had great experiences with their equipment. However, this situation has been a disappointment. It’s making me question the quality and reliability of the brand moving forward.

The equipment is very good, it is very difficult, if not impossible to operate without a 5V power supply that Brother no longer sells. In addition, Brother dealers do not offer it and cannot or do not want to take your wishes into account as the purchase was not made with them, and their distributor does not offer it. On this subject, the famous power supply is not on the LDLC site, and it's the same problem. LDLC sends you back in a vacuum and they can't get it. Once plugged in, the scanner only needs to work (for how long?). Unfortunately there are no instructions on how to use it (just how to plug it in), so you have to wait a long time to find out how to use it. To conclude, all the renewables for this scanner are nowhere to be found.
