Plustek OpticFilm 8100

I like it. It doesn't have the infrared dust removal, but the included software does a decent job of detecting and removing. Plus the infrared variant only works on c41. Quality is good, way better than what I've had from the lab.

Returned this item due to difficulty installing, zero help from Wex on using item and poor information when purchasing.

Good for home scanning. Scans take 2 – 3 mins. The bundled SilverFast software is confusing and looks like it hasn't been updated since 1998 and the FREE update advertised on the box doesn't work.

We use this to archive 35mm slides for The Folklore Library and Archive for digital preservation and delivery. It's easy to use and relatively quick, and the results give a good enough quality for what we need.

Excellent item. Really happy with my purchase and the company I bought it from.
