I’ve had this printer for exactly one year today. It’s My worst nightmare. The printer worked fine for about a week and after that it takes like 30-35 mins to print one page. It keeps saying “printing”. I couldn’t return it, and Canon wasn’t helpful trying to find what the problem is. I can make copies but it is not a reliable source when it comes to printing. I lost my money here…

Sometimes this model works fine (although it can't do a doublesided scan) and at other times it can't "find" the computer, or thinks that paper is jammed when it is not. Overall it is not reliable since I want good performance 100% of the time. I miss my old HP printer/scanner.

It refused to stay connected with the router. I sent it back for a full refund. It would not respond even with the help of Canon’s trouble shooters.

Great printer when it is working, but if you let it go to sleep you must power off the device completely and restart or it wont print. Defeats the purpose of wireless printing.

I love that I can PRINT anytime. It is better than an INKJET printer which tends to dry out faster and uses up ink faster. Spend a lot less money on toner replacement with a LASER printer. The upfront cost is more, but it lasts so much longer. You can print more (B&W) and scan and make copies. BEST printer type to ever own. We love Canon b/c consumer reports rated this printer as a top brand with least amount of issues/problems. Printer does have RJ-45 jack for NETWORK cable.
