This replaced an old printer which owed me nothing and was one fifth of the price. Why did I trade up? Because I wanted A3 printing and scanning and I wanted it to be fast. Even though it is large, it has been designed to efficiently use the relatively small footprint. Don't kid yourself - this will be a sizeable presence in any home office. What were my criteria? Faster printing, printing at A3 size, scanning of photos and documents for text recognition. In this the Brother has past all tis early tests. Yes it was more expensive: but you get what you pay for and the moment I set it up, I knew that this was a serious printer for someone wanting to have the opportunity to print off hundreds of pages of book drafts.

I have the previous Brother All-in-one MFC printer model now for 12 years and still going strong, but thought I would update. This printer is brand new and is exceeding my expectations. Love the double sided printing, A3-size scanning and printing, wireless operation and draft print quality for in-progress working prints prior to selection of the better print setting for report submission or best quality for graphic design submission.

Great home office printer for small business. Easy to setup and use. Good quality prints and scans.

I bought this a month ago to replace my old brother printer that I have had for will over 10 years. I had used the last one for a small business and it had given great service for all that time. So it was a no-trainer to replace it with the newer version, and I certainly haven't been disappointed.

When a new batch of ink costs more then you pay for the printer, there are no long term savings. It'd be cheaper to purchase a new printer everytime you run out of ink. The printer itself does a decent job for the most part. Needs more cleaning and aligning then I would expect and jams occassionaly
