This is a solid machine, ideal for a home office or a small business. Printing is fast and clear, including colour printing. The price (at the time we bought it) was reasonable and supplies are easily available and not exorbitant. The only negative was that the printer could not be powered off (reset) from the control panel, and had to be physically unplugged from the wall. The was fixed later on by a firmware update, so now it can be reset without unplugging. Setup is easy, as is changing the ink cartridges, although you do need to look very closely at the rather small drawings to figure it out. A good purchase so far.

I ordered this Brother printer for my home office. I am 72 years old and had no problems setting it up. I found that it quickly recognized my home internet, and the big LCD screen made it easy to follow the setup process and input my needed password for my home network. The printer, in my opinion, produced great color and black printouts. This is a real great addition to my home office.

This printer is perfect for a small or even medium sized office use or if you have some desk space it is great for home use as well. Because it the MFC that means it has the built in document feeder making this perfect as a copier, fax and printer! And you don't even have to have it directly connected to anything. Brother color laserjets have great print quality for both black and white as well as color printing. They don't suffer from clogged print heads like ink jets. If you don't print for a long period of time this machine will still start up and print your next document just as if you used it constantly. It does require a bit of desk space for home use but if you have it or need something for an office setting this is an amazing printer and one I would very highly recommend!

This is my home printer. It is much slower than my old printer. Also, I was disappointed to find out that there is no duplexing (front to back copying). I should have read the description closer. Other than that, it seems to be working just fine.
