It was complicated to set up and I am still learning all the buttons and where everything is. It seemed to use a lot of battery power, if tracking subjects. Good tracking abilities and eye detection.

I bought this as a replacement for my old bridge camera, which had sadly developed a fault. I chose this model as i was looking for something that was easy to use, as I've never had a DSLR before, and also for the lighter weight and smaller size compared to a lot of the other models available. Although the lens included doesn't have the zoom capabilities of the bridge camera, which was a 50x, it does take really good photo's, and is easy to use. It has manual and auto focus, which are controlled by a switch, and has various photo/video options to choose from. I'm still learning all the different things that the camera has to offer, but so far I'm really pleased with it, and will be looking for other compatible lenses to increase my photography options.

Item came with a dent near the view finder, paying nearly £2K for a ‘new’ camera that’s probably been whacked or dented by someone else, the lens on this one was fine in comparison to the one I ordered separately which came with finger prints and covered in dust, no idea what Very are doing in their warehouses but unless it’s sealed and guaranteed new I don’t want to be buying anything from them again, I also arranged a return for this item and the staff couldn’t care less about my call and concerns and then they never came to collect the item!

I've had the camera for a moth or so now and love everything about it. I'm an absolute beginner, so I have an awful lot to learn, but the few shots I've taken thus far are of great quality. I have a couple of books / guides to help with all the different settings and features and I'm taking it very slowly so I don't get overwhelmed by everything it offers. I'll soon be switching from the automated settings to the more manual ones, to put my learning to the test. I got a fabulous deal on price buying directly from Canon, saving several hundred pounds compared to other retailers.
