HP Z2 G1a Amd Ryzen-ai Max Pro 390/32gb/1tb Ssd Mini-pc

HP’s Z2 Mini G1a compact desktop is a tiny powerhouse, packing a serious wallop for workstation tasks and AI dev work with AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ processor and 128GB of unified memory.

My computer was delivered 3 weeks ago, and almost immediately froze following a Windows update. Wolf security software, as supplied by HP was unable to carry out an automatic repair, but tech support got it running again. Soon afterwards, it froze again, and I asked for it to be returned, and a replacement supplied. I am still awaiting the replacement 2 weeks later. I therefore cannot review the machine, and cannot comment favorably about HP's service. I did eventually receive the replacement computer after a long wait, and started setting up when Windows 11 wanted to do an update, and the computer crashed. I have now returned the 2nd machine, and am awaiting for my money to be returned.

I am seriously impressed with this little “workstation”. Quiet, very powerful, I can run LLMs locally ( including Gpt-oss) plenty of connection ports what is there not to like? That’s it for me now, never going back to hulking tower pc’s.

Dieser HP Mini PC bietet ausreichend VRAM um lokale AI Workload zB unter Ollama und VLLM verarbeiten zu können. Top! Je nach Workload kann dieser Mini PC etwas lauter werden, für mich allerdings noch in Ordnung.
