OK. It needs a speed control. Or at least a HI/LO/Med switch. Not as quiet as I like but needed extra cooling this summer and it works. Easy to hook up and install in the reason for the 3 stars.

Helps getting hot air out of the case, but it's too loud.

It moves a lot of air, but it's quite loud. It's louder than all other fans on my PC combined

I knew the fan was going to be loud based on the previous reviews...but man, this thing is loud. And I can't really tell if it's doing much to keep things cool. It does definitely move a lot air (I can feel it coming out of the back of the case), so it must be doing something, but I don't see significant temperature drops in anything I monitor for heat.
