Its quiet but at the same time it cools on par with the smaller stock cooler.

fan noise - not too bad. Overall rating of 4 because it does the job at a low cost.

Keeps my LGA775 Pentium 4 3.0Ghz at a healthy 23C idle! This is in an 18C ambient temp. To install it you have to unlock the plastic tabs, lift them up, then turn them again to lock them, then press the heatsink onto the board, then press the locks down. A bit more confusing than my other 775 fans, but it works nicely and didn't break!

I haven't fired up the board with this so I don't know how great the cooling power is, but, we'll see soon enough. Definetly install on the board before the board is in a narrow or smaller case if possible.
