Ich habe 2 in einer Synology 1515+ eingebaut und die Ultra-Low-Noise Adapter (1200U/min) verwendet. Die Temperatur wird im Synology Menü bei 42 °C angezeigt. Man muss jedoch im Synology Menü die Lüftersteuerung auf Volle Geschwindigkeit (Full-Speed Mode) einstellen, sonst geht das Gerät auf Alarm, wegen Lüfterausfall. Seit 2 Monaten laufen die Lüfer im Gerät und die Lautstärke ist für mich so, daß ich erst in 1m Entfernung ein sanftes Rauschen hören kann. Mit den OriginalLüftern habe ich bis 8m ein Brummen hören können. Die Noctua NF-A8 FLX sind wirklich angenehm leise und die Kühlleistung ist bei mir bei 1200 U/min völlig ausreichend. Ich muss noch sehen ob 1200 auch im Sommer reichen, aber es sind ja noch 2 höhere Drehzahlen mit den Noctua NF-A8 FLX möglich. Absolut Empfehlenswerrt !!!

Had originally purchased an Arctic 80mm fan that was DOA. Returned it to Amazon and researched for a better one. Voila! The noctura is excellent. Definitely a better quality fan than the Arctic. It came with a variety of power connectors/adapters to enable power and speed options and 3 or 4 pin connection to your PC.

I got this for an arcade machine I was building. It is capable of moving a lot of air, and doing it very quietly. You have to really listen for it to be able to hear it. Noctua has never failed to impress me with their products.

I was expecting it to be quieter based on all the reviews. I can still hear it clearly running all the time. It's not silent at all. However, the quality seems to be pretty good so I guess I can't complain too much. I'm going to look for a quieter fan. Just because you pay more for something doesn't mean that you're for sure getting a better product as is the case with this. I only recommend it if you still want to hear a fan going in your computer, amp, or whatever you're installing it in.
