At last found a CD player that plays CDs. I had bought a couple of different brands prior to buying this Cambridge model and am glad I did in the end even though ended up costing me a hundred more than had originally budgeted. Just could get along with a front loading disc player so went back to the good old tray loading system. Had no trouble with this machine. Plays perfectly even those discs the previous machines refused to play. Better sound in fact better all round. No issues at all. For the price it is exactly what I was looking for.

Purchased three weeks ago and it does exactly what I want it to. Plays well, good remote control, nice retro styling, display is clear. After having a top end Technics for over 25 years this is a decent, good value replacement.

As a complete newcomer to the world of HiFi, I found myself diving deep into online reviews, determined to build a proper system with a solid turntable, amplifier, CD player and speakers. After carefully weighing my options, I set my sights on this combination, the Cambridge AXA35 amplifier paired with the AXC35 CD player, an Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT turntable, and a vibrant set of Dali Kupid speakers. Eager to hear it in action, I reached out to the brilliant staff at the Southgate branch, who set me up in a private listening room. Armed with my absolute favourite vinyl records and CDs, I sat back, listened, and was completely blown away. The sound quality far exceeded my expectations! I didn't hesitate for a second—I bought the entire system right then and there, and I couldn't be happier with my new setup.

bought this a couple of weeks ago, was going for another cd player, but was recommended the Cambridge Audio AXC35 by Tom, so glad I went for it, such a warm sound and bass is good, cd`s sound amazing.

Bought the Cambridge Audio AXC35 direct from Cambridge Audio on the 30th December 2025 via Ebay as an open box unused product advertised for £289.00 but with my Ebay voucher i actually paid £231.20 #BARGAIN. This cd player looks great it's a beautiful design along with it's brilliant sound works superbly with my Yamaha A-S501 Amplifier and Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 speakers, wired with Chord c line interconnects and QED XT40i speaker cable this CD player is exemplary
