It's even bright enough to look good in rooms with a few lights on. Still, its contrast struggles in darker scenes, so it definitely looks best when sticking to happier, brighter movies. Its pre-calibration accuracy is excellent overall, so there's no need to have this projector calibrated to get accurate colors.
