Fantec DB-F35U3 - Speichergehäuse - 3.5" (8.9 cm)

Excellent device, works well. It comes from Germany so there is NO British 3 pin plug top, only a European 2 pin. For those who are ok with obtaining an adapter, you will need a AC to DC transformer rated at 12V d.c and a minimum of 2A output, positive tip. It is well built and has a properly on/off switch on the back.

Feels high quality metal case, sturdy and compact. Much more compact and significantly cheaper than the Freecom alternative, though it has no Firewire connections if that's important to you. Has e-SATA as well as USB 3 connections (cables supplied). Once formatted it worked instantly with both my laptop and media player blu-ray (Oppo 95) unlike some other brands (e.g. Freecom Quattro 2tb only seems to work with the e-SATA not USB). Docked one star as it came with no UK power plus/adaptor - which I believe is illegal let alone inconvenient and quite awkward/fragile when used with a standard 2 to 3 pin adaptor.
