Leitz Iq Office Pro P4 Schredder

Love this shredder because it's not noisy, it shreds into small pieces and will accept credit cards and several sheets. The only downside is removing the top when you want to empty it, it's just a heavy and leaves bits everywhere when emptying the bucket. Everything else is top notch.

Shredding this evening a few sheets at a time Became jammed By the time the red light came on smoke was rising from the machine (electric fire smell) Had to unplug and pour water over it to prevent fire spreading Brought April 23 so just over a year old Model 10 Home office P4

It looked like a perfect replacement to my old much cheaper shredder. For a while it worked well.I had to use oil papers that were shredded and looked after the blades, something the shredder I was replacing didn't require. Then after nearly 9 months of light domestic use it jammed. I tried everything I knew to 'mend' it but with no success. Amazon was willing to take it back and refunded me in full. After a long search I have replaced it with a bigger machine that was advertised as not needing oil! When it arrived the booklet suggested differently but so far so good.

It's a more expensive purchase than what is out there, but in terms of effectiveness and quality, I'm very impressed. Looks great, does the job, would definitely recommend.

Well I have used it over the past two days and all fine so far so well pleased with that aspect. It does after six to ten minutes of use turns itself off with the red light showing and I have no problem with that as it stops it overheating well we only use it in the house but all in all well pleased with this purchase at a great price. Thank you
