We use these for older second monitors that have a VGA interface. We have several in use and have had no problems with any. Our oldest has been in service for at least two to three years.

Bought this adapter to use an old VGA monitor with a newer HDMI computer. The resolution and clarity on the monitor is not as good as it was before. I'm now purchasing a new monitor with HDMI input - guess I wasted my money on this adapter.

Bought for work, and doesn’t work. My Mac just flickers and the projector is stuck on searching.....

Nice box, big price at best buy, but absolutely no instructions in the box, the provider assumes that we are all computer savvy, video works great, but what do I connect to the 3.5mm ?? and what gets connected to what appears to be a phone usb connection. a little piece of paper in the box would help a lot, or, print needs and requirements on the side of the box. This web site does not describe any direction either(not readily seen) Sorry not a smoke test kind of guy. Thanks for any effort in providing a solution.

I needed this to connect a device with HDMI-only output to a VGA connection on the wall panel for a projector in our conference room. The converter converted the digital signal to an analog signal with no noticeable loss in quality, the connectors are durable and properly aligned and everything worked immediately after being plugged in.
